Release date: 9 November 2010 Call of Duty: Black Ops is the seventh installment of the Call of Duty series and the third game in the series to be developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. Treyarch has stated that Black Ops will be much grittier than Modern Warfare 2 and that the differences between World at War and Black Ops will be as significant as the differences between Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Black Ops is said to be set in various locations, including Vietnam and Cuba and judging from the trailer it is set between 1960 and 2010.
Following the rumours, Activision is working on the new Call of Duty 7 (working title). The new entry of CoD's series is expected to be released in the end of November or the beginning of December, 2010. The VideoGameBlog reports that Noah Heller (World at War senior producer) will be involved with the game. The publisher was looking for "Vietnam War-era tunes, as well as Cuban, African, and Soviet Union music." Most probably the game will be set between the 60's-80's, taking place in the above-mentioned settings, The Vietnam War and the proxy war and conflicts during the Cold War.
